While it may have not been with actual currency, it was an achievement none the less. I have been playing ‘Farm Town’ a real-time strategy farm game on facebook. I still haven’t finished the game but I realised some similarities on what I did in the game and what I SHOULD be doing in real life. Firstly I started small, didn’t have any luxuries and focused all my energies on the activities that would give me the most return in the shortest amount of time!
Why is it that in real life I want the luxuries FIRST???
I HAD been focusing on paying off debt. Every cent counted. Then I met my partner who has money. I lost track of the cents and focussed too much on the dollars. I had paid off more in debt on a $10 a week budget than I have on a $50 a week budget. Need to change this.
That said I haven’t spent much money lately. I have been making do with what I have most of the time and haven’t resented it at all. Not too bad.

The more money that we make, the more that there is in your local/national economy. The more people that we can help. Most people have this belief that money takes a lot of hard work to achieve and only if you “deserve” it. Well I am here to challange that belief of yours? Why do people have to deserve money? It is just money. Nothing more, nothing less. If you put emotional attachment on money then that is your issue. I would suggest that you look at a programme such as Prosperity Conciousness by Fredric Lehrman or The 9 steps to financial freedom by Suze Orman…

I have money sitting in my wallet and I can’t believe how strong this urge to spend it is. This is a HUGE addiction that I have. Spending money validate me in so many ways. I CAN do this, just need to keep trying. It is all about being concious of my decisions!

Chapter One – Patterns
Wealth Patterns and Money Blocks
-In order to make money or save it, you need to be comfortable with it.
-To be wealthy, we need to feel good about other people being proserous.
-It is important that you feel you deserve help (and money) as your ability to receive determines your prosperity.
-If you are too attached to money it becomes difficult to make it and difficult to hang on to.
-If success is awkard for you to deal with you will be holding yourself back from success.
-Prosperity and freedom from want demonstrate that we are balanced as individuals.
What can I do
-Decide to be prosperous and commit yourself to putting in the necessary effort.
-Save first and spend what is left
-Observe wealthy people
-Ask for some help
-Constantly re-affirm to yourself that you deserve to be prosperous
-Spoil yourself occasionally
-Make plans and set goals
-Continually stratch your belief system as to what is possible for you to acheive
-Always carry some money
Feel more prosperous
Get used to having money
Learn to trust yourself wiht money
-Don’t blame anyone/thing for your current state
-Attack every challange with enthusiasm and commitment
-Recognise that poverty is a mental disease
I really need to take note here. I have held a limiting belief in the past that I was not good with money. Smash this!!!

Previously I was too embarrased to list it here as I thought I would be seen as greedy. That type of thinking however is keeping me in poverty. Change the thinking, Change the Results!
