These are the best apples EVER.

Even though they had just a faint perfume I bought them anyway. They are surprisingly good! The skin is tender, and the flesh is crisp and not mealy.

I got discouraged in the produce aisle this week, there wasn’t much that appealed to me. The apples don’t have any perfume, and I won’t buy them unless they smell good. I gorged on Pink Lady apples in November, the scent was intoxicating! I guess the season is over now though, can’t find them anywhere. I bought oranges and a grapefruit.

Last night I had a big slice of fresh pineapple at the Chinese buffet.

This evening I sliced an orange like they do at the China Buffet, we had it with dinner.

Cut the orange in half, pole to pole. Put the cut side face down, slice off the thick ends. Cut 1/2 inch slices.

Now they are tidier to eat, you have a bit of skin to hold on to. Very refreshing!
