find the perfect pair of jeans

Levi’s new 512 slimming jeans fit me great, just wish they were a little longer. I’m still searching, but these are close!

I’m thinking of going Old School, and ordering a pair of Levi’s 501 shrink-to-fit jeans. I had a pair when I was a teen, I put them on, jumped in the river and then ran around outside in the sunshine all day. They shrank to fit me perfectly.

Why is it so hard to find non-stretch jeans nowadays? :grumble:

I bought a pair at Old Navy, they are not quite the Perfect Pair, but they are closer than anything else I’ve tried on lately. The best part is that the rise is a little higher, just below waist. No more faux muffin top, yay!

I won’t mark this done, as I have yet to find the mythical Perfect Pair.

I did the questionnaire from the Jeans Fit Finder at zafu.com, it recommended several jeans for me to try on. I already have a pair of Levi’s 505, but I have it in non-stretch, they recommended I try on the stretch version. I don’t much care for stretch, but allrighty, I will give it a try!

I tried on a pair of 7 for All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity.

I hated them, wierd rubbery stretchy. I asked the very helpful salesgirl if there was anything in the store that was a little more mid-rise, she said not yet, they were coming in the spring. I am sick of low-rise jeans, I’ll never buy another pair.

Next I’m going to the local ranchwear shop and the tractor supply store to try on Wranglers, Lees and Levis. I’ve decided I want to find a pair of NON-STRETCH jeans, wish me luck! :crossfingers:
