I started to learn French at the beginning of 2009 at university, but their language courses are very intensive, and the class times did not suit either transport home or my body clock. I couldn’t understand things well at all and got so confused (headaches at the end of the day didn’t help). French is beautiful, but I’m left a bit beaten, battered, and discouraged in general about my ability to learn this language. I think I managed only one grammar structure on my oral test and very little vocabulary, probably mainly loanwords or English words in a L-plate French accent haha.
They say it takes the average native English speaker 3 times more time to be as fluent in languages like Japanese than it does the same level in languages like French. Maybe I just need more exposure to French, because I pick Japanese up like that snaps fingers together Qui sait?
