You won’t find anyone who thinks you are cool, or enjoyable to be around, until you are.
What makes someone enjoyable to be around? They have to like themselves. How do you like yourself?
Find things that are interesting to you. Are you a Star Wars fan? You like the Lakers? Are you passionate about saving puppies from untimely deaths? Whatever… Dive into it with passion.
You will meet someone along the way that is passionate about that topic. Then, maybe they will be passionate about you too.
If not, at least you didn’t waste your time, you accomplished a worthy goal.
People want to be around people who are doing something great and making a difference. You have the potential to do great things. You just have to take the initiative to do it.
When I used to say, “I just want to find someone who likes ME for who I am” I didn’t really know who I was. It wasn’t until I explored my interests that the real me developed. Then, once I was ready, the right guy came along and we have been very, very happily married now for 9 years, and have 4 wonderful kids.
I highly recommend marriage. I’ve been single and I’ve been married and it’s so nice having a best friend for life.
