Write brilliant historical papers whether the topic interests me or not

Since I am not really taking any history classes this year (boo) and since graduation is 5 short months away. We’ll keep it around a while yet…but it isn’t as relevant as it once was.

At this point I would be happy to write anything at all.

Man oh man. For my History degree there are only two mandatory classes, History 1100 which is a European intro class and History 3820 – Historiography IE the history of history.
1100 wasn’t that bad but 3820 is totally trying my ability to write anything intelligent about topics I either don’t get or don’t care about. It’s total mental overload, its fast moving and no time for absorption and the papers are total regurgitation…which is only easy if you know WTF you read and what it was about…GRRR\
The trouble is that I have this get one done and move on to the next mentality so things don’t overlap by accident, sources or citatiosn don’t get missed yadda yadda yadda…well. If I sit here for 4 days going duh over this stupid small 3 page i don’t get it paper, that means that I end up a little bit behind where I want to be.
THESE PAPERS ARE KILLING ME!
Sucking the life out of me.
And I am struggling so hard to understand I have very little motivation to put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard and try to muck it out. BLEH!

All my research papers are for classes that I enjoy and the topics are fairly open. All my book reviews are on prof selected books that for a change I might actually like (unlike last year fiasco with Bruce Muirheads elephant something or other that was way over my head) and to boot I actually know something about the topics so I won’t be totally lost. Encyclopedia in one hand, dictionary in the other and holding the book with my feet. Let’s not repeat that again. And then there are small little discussion how does that make you feel crap assignment that are designed to make you work within the topic and can only increase my understanding and are an easy mark because you get the mark if you just do it…so, this year could mean some half decent writing experiences…
Oh and how excited am I. Have a paper where it is mandatory that I use only the HBC records in our Microfilm library so I get some primary research experience from a simple 2nd year class wooppeee

whether it interests me or not….they usually interest me but sometimes my attention is sparse
