In August 2005 we’ll be leaving downtown Philadelphia to move to a 20 acre farm about 80 miles northwest of the city. It will be a huge challenge but one that I’m unbelievably excited to undertake. We’re saving a large chunk of land from hungry developers, and plus I’ll be able to look out the window and see more than just another building. Now I just have to figure out how to make a living off the land…

My wife and I are perilously close to doing this. We’ll be bidding on a farm that goes up for auction in late spring. If we get it, then there will suddenly be a slew of other things I’ll want to do (start a garden, paint a barn, get a goat, make some cheese…)
