make Ice cream

I haven’t done this yet. I’m sure this isn’t the World Record for procrastination, but it sure feels like it. Maybe I should just start with vanilla . . .

The berries are ripe and I’ve been reading up on recipes. It seems that it would be a lot easier if I had one of the automatic ice cream makers. Mine is the kind that uses salt in a tub. If I get some other projects finished this weekend we’ll see how it goes.

I’ve never had blackberry ice cream before, but it sounds good. Our yard is surrounded by wild blackberry bushes (of the Himilayan variety) and I’m always trying find new ways to eat the berries. Add that to the fact that we got an ice cream maker as a wedding gift and we have the potential for something fabulous.

We also have cherries and blueberries . . .
