I’ll take the bee course this coming Spring.
buying the equipment over the Winter, but selecting the site this Fall (to allow for some Sun, some shade, out of the way, etc)

equipment 1 year ago

bought some equipment this week… siting the hives today and starting to build the stand for them
(need to elevate and be able to support 200 pounds plus of honey per hive)

so much to finish here, I must wait until 2008 to get the two hives I want, but that will give me time to plan and anticipate. Bees are having a very difficult time I read this year.. VERY high % of empty hives found this year caling it “Colony Collapse Syndrome”

I have read one book so far, two others to go.
I will not get bees until I have plenty of plants growing for them to gather from. (2008 maybe)
