I realised the problem was not the height of the heels so much as the fit of the shoe. I had been wearing size 37, but my feet are actually size 35. I had buying bigger shoes to fit my foot width not realising that they just didn’t fit, and then wondering why I couldn’t walk comfortably in them! I got some very comfy wide fitting shoes in a 35.5 with a bar across with about a 2 inch heel, and they are so comfy I can wear them all day. I also got a pair of 2 inch wide wedge boots, and the same applies.

I will still be trying to increase my heel height, but I will make sure that any shoes I buy are the right size and wide enough for me.

I managed to wear my two inch heels for about half an hour, walking around a shopping centre. They absolutely killed my feet, and the whole time I had to completely concentrate on walking in a straight line. Not fun.

On the plus side, I bought some awesome new boots, they may only have a half inch heel but they are super comfortable… I guess it’s a start!

Next stop, one inch…
