My friend Clarissia made this small booklist for me last year, although I have yet to start any of the books on it yet. I tend to get distracted by my interest in reading other books.
It consists basicly of Atlas Shrugged, Lolita, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Franny and Zoey.
I’ve been aiming to read Lolita anyways, because I want to read it before watching the Stanley Kubrick movie (I did the same thing with “A Clockwork Orange” and “The Shining”). I also want to read Franny and Zoey because JD Salinger also wrote “Catcher in the Rye” and that is an amazing book. However, I’m well aware of Atlas Shrugged’s reputation (Clarassia is obssed with Ayn Rand) and I’m pretty shure I’m not gonna agree with it philosophicaly, but I suffer through it regardless.
