speak Italian

Not started yet, not planned to start yet. Do wanna do this but got millions of things in front of it in the priority list. It is good fun however listening to my Italian mate and I’m sure I’ll pick things up off him!

This is my 9th entry on this site and after looking at the first 8, I’ve noticed I’ve got no real goals. Most of them are to do things like stay healthy, be more organised etc instead of more exciting things to do, see or learn.

One thing I’ve always wanted to do is speak Italian. I first thought of learning Spanish, which I may still pursue as I go away often to Spanish speaking Islands but I find the Italian language a lot more intreguing. I have wanted to learn Italian probably ever since I saw the Harry Enfield sketch of the butcher and assistant when the assistant sings dumly in English but fluently in Italian! Thought it was funny and the song was kool too. I also downloaded a song called Tu Fa Vor L’Americano that I heard ina movie and it was Italian and catchy and ever since then have been dead set on learning it.

The only thing preventing me is the motivation to actually learn it as I have no real use for it, well not at the minute anyway. I do want to travel the world and see big cities so maybe Milan and Rome could be just a few years away.

I have a good friend who is originally from Scicily who speaks fluent Italian so he could help me. Now to find the time for it!
