I’m probably half way to achieveing this goal actually. I remember when first selecting this as an option it was due to me struggling to go to bed before 12, finding it easy to stay up till well past 1, 2 and often 3am, even if needing to get up before 8am the next day.
Nowadays, mainly due to my girlfriend living with me, I’m in bed averaging 12. Its very rare that I’m up much later but I would still like an 11:30 regular time as well as more control at weekends. This will probably now focus on getting up time as I have a new job where I want to shower and eat properly beforehand so ideally I want to get up at 7am, but I stay in bed until about 7:45 so that I end up rushing to get ready.
I need to get into a pattern of going to bed a little earlier, getting up earlier and going to sleep more. Its achievable.

Nothing really has changed here – if anything, since the christmas holidays things have worsened. Before christmas I was often still awake at 2am but now I even find myself up at 3am and a couple of times even 4am when I have to be up before 8am the next day!! Not good!

I think one of my main issues at the moment when it comes to finding the motivation to get things done is due to me being tired a lot.
I spend too much time, usually late in the evening / early morning doing very little, often surfing the web on pointless sites (not this one :) ) until I force myself to go to bed and catch the last 4 or 5 hours sleep before needing to be up for work.
I do get a lot of time at work to get things done but usually it takes me 3 coffees to chirp up and then usually the day is gone! A lot of things I want to do I could get done at work but it would take a decent nights sleep to be ready and raring to go the next day.
If I could drag my ass to bed before 12am every night, I would get a good 7 hours sleep which I feel would be enough for me to be fully refreshed the next day, then I would get things done :)
