I’m already bilingual I mean I’m really bilingual I’m not kind of bilingual. (Which is what most people are when they say they are bilingual.) I’m kind of trilingual in Spanish. I’ve taken 3 years of it, and I’ve gone on 3 trips to Spanish speaking countries to practice.(For a total of 5 weeks but not all together.) I know what you’re thinking, 3 years of studying? 5 weeks of speaking and she’s still not fluent? The answer is no. I’m not fluent, but I can get around, and I can hold conversations. I can even get a few jokes, but I’m not fluent.
I’m still learning though, my courses I took were by correspondance and I was learning it by a book own my own. It was not ideal, but I learned a lot anyways. I want to really be trilingual in Spanish, French and English. I know I will be. After that I may try Portuguese, Japanese, Swahili, Mandarin or Hindi. I’m not sure which one yet. I’m not to worried I’m just trying to focus on being fluent in my third. But since I started my third language I’ve improved in my English and my French. I think it’s kind of weird how that works.
