Losing touch...

I think it’s really cool how people from so many colourful backgrounds form interesting relationships with each other. But at the same time, I think we do need to make sure that we preserve our cultural backgrounds as we become increasingly monocultured. I would like to learn to speak cantonese, and maybe even be able to read some chinese books so I can get more in touch with my roots. My grandma only spoke cantonese and she seemed like such a neat person. It would have been really cool to get to know her =). I think I’ll take some lessons after I graduate and start working.
