So, after the Evens show I have become infatuated with the Baritone Guitar…specifically, the Danelectro Baritone Guitar, per watching Ian MacKaye play it. The sound is lower, as I read and heard it is tuned lower and, therefore, making it baritone. Per what I read, Danelectro was the first to introduce this guitar. I like the solid body as well, it has a very cool look to it.

This is the guitar I have – seemed like a good place to start. When I bought the guitar, part of the draw was the fact that it is a rather standard electric guitar. This is my first guitar and it seemed like a good fit. I also liked the color (mine is blue.) I read the name comes from its sleek jet-inspired design. Also, its appeal/popularity comes from its versatility in tone and overall sound. Ooh, George Harrison and John Lennon both had Strats. Rivers Cuomo and John Fruciante also were known for playing Fender Stratocasters…additionally, they were both born in 1970.
