Raise $5,000 to pay for my daughter's dance competition season expenses

Still raising money a little at a time. In the new year I will begin another phase of letters and personal visits to local businesses for sponsors.

Thinking positive, but faith without works doesn’t do much. Have to get out in front of people and start begging. Okay, maybe forget the begging part, but I need to come up with another plan.

Another $100 came in from an ex-boyfriend. Heck, if all my ex’s would send in that much I would meet our goal in no time. LOL.

Okay, I can’t even ask, but it does make me laugh at myself.

Went to the mailbox and just received another $225 for a total of $675 now.

Sending letters out to local philanthropists in hopes of a big donation.

So far so good. Every bit is helping to at least pay for the monthly dance classes.

It all works out just as it is supposed to.

I am in dire need of raising around $5,000 to pay for my daughter’s dance team competition season. She made a new team and they will be performing in 4 dances, plus she will be in a solo routine and a duet routine, in 5 different competitions (and 2 recitals).

Here is the breakdown for starters:

$2000 Dance classes through June
$ 500 Choreography Fees
$ 200 Team Gear
$1000 Competition Fees
$ 500 Costumes
$ 400 Workshops

This is her fourth year on a team, so I know the expenses will get paid somehow. Fundraisers galore are offered, yet I have tapped out all the people I know. Can’t possibly ask another family member or friend for money once again.

Thus far I have raised $450 towards her classes. Working on finding corporate sponsors here in Las Vegas, or anywhere, who are willing and able to assist. Any ideas are certainly welcome.

I do know my daughter LOVES her dance, and it has been beyond beneficial in her life. Her confidence, poise, and joy are apparent in all she does in her day. I believe the skills she has acquired as a result of her dance team, dedication, and continued hard work have been monumental in her personal growth. I will keep plugging away at the costs because the value far exceeds any sacrifices I have made as of late so she can stick with her passion.
