As soon as construction is done around here I’m going to start a 40 bags in 40 days project! I need to declutter more. Just read an article about why hotel rooms are so relaxing…. NO CLUTTER! I want to feel like I’ve stepped into a sanctuary when I enter my home. Not be so frustrated I can’t think.

Amvets had called a few weeks ago. Of course I told them I’d find something for them. That something turned into a 25 lb. box. My oldest daughter helped fill it. Old purses, Christmas decorations we no longer love, books and more.
I surprised myself by how quickly I was able to pick up the house after a weekend with everyone home. It wasn’t too bad, I didn’t feel overwhelmed either.
Today I worked on a secret stash of magazines. I was able to part with over half of them. Only keeping 14 that I will probably toss in the next week or so. I also went through the game dvd’s. More than half gone. My kids are too old for them.
Watching horders while I declutter seems to help!
Went through my youngest daughters drawers. 2 garbage bags later and it’s done! (I’m going to label her drawers to see if it helps with organization and she can put her own clothes away – I could be dreaming here.)
Cleaned out the drawers in my buffet & china cabinet. Threw away tons of stuff.
So, when the hubby returns he can carry out the bags & the big box for charity!
\o/ I put my paperwork in file folders and have them standing in a pretty basket. The majority of the magazines that were out have been sorted – school(for a project) – recycling bin and a few I’m saving. LIke my Mary Janes farm mags. Can’t part with those.
I need to find a home for my current month magazines.
Today: working on my dd’s closet. She moved into the room back in Sept. and I never got around (made time) to clean out the craft supplies and school supplies from her little closet. It’s time.
Today I’m organizing my paperwork and going though my magazines. End table cleared off. Next is a basket full of magazines. Then this afternoon I’ll attack the coffee table.
I’ve been hauling things to the local re-sale shop that benefits a great cause in my area. Trying to take things there at least once a week.
