Re-read the wheel of time

The hiatus began a while ago actually. I got up to book six and stopped there after the semester got to hectic.

It is time to get back on it just as soon as I finish some of the other books I’ve started. (I’m reading about six right now. Yeah….I know, but I have Book ADD). I’m considering just starting over again, what with the graphic novels having been announced. :)

I feel like I should reread the series before Mr. Sanderson writes the 12th book, so that when it is complete everything will still be fresh in my mind. It’s been about five years since I’ve done a complete series read through. It is well past time.

I’ve actually already started on this goal. I’ve finished The Eye of the World and started on The Great Hunt. Its so strange reading through the books again, knowing that Robert Jordan is gone. I’m sure Mr. Sanderson will do his best and write a novel that Harriet and RJ would be proud of, but there will never be that same sense of closure. Though even that too, might be fitting considering there are no beginnings nor endings.
