52 weeks of creativity

I don’t have any pictures to share but I decided to make a few envelopes out of some old scrapbook paper that I never used and of course, my favorite, the book jackets. It’s actually easy. You just take apart an envelope to use as a template, cut out the pattern, and glue it together.

Week one: Create gift tags from book jackets. I work in a library and we recycle a good number of book jackets. One of the librarians found an article describing things to make such as gift tags, wrapping paper, origami, etc. So I decided to try my hand at the gift tags. They came out really cute. I’m working on writing up instructions for another site so as soon as I post it I’ll add a link here.

To help challenge myself I have decided to do a different art or craft project each week. What I would like to do is try something new. It doesn’t have to be anything big. Just something creative. Just something to let myself play and enjoy the moment.
