I graduated from massage school yesterday, and I have a job interview at a day spa on Monday. Yay, me!
It will, of course, be awhile before I know if this is really “a job that satisfies me,” but it’s a mighty good start.

I graduated from massage school yesterday, and I have a job interview at a day spa on Monday. Yay, me!
It will, of course, be awhile before I know if this is really “a job that satisfies me,” but it’s a mighty good start.
I’m almost 3/4 done with massage therapy school, and it looks like this might well be a satisfying job for me. I’m learning a lot and enjoying both the academic and the bodywork parts of it.
And I’m working on the side on writing and selling my writing.
What I really want, if I’m honest, is to make my living as a freelance writer. But that’s not going to happen in the next year or two (maybe ever), so I need to have a job. The problem is, I have a career, and I used to like it, but I now realize I don’t want it. At least I don’t want it right now. So I’m taking a year off and looking for a job instead. My goal is to find something that I can leave at the end of the day not feeling tired or frustrated or stressed.
