Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Done breastfeeding - for now

K is 2.5 years old now, and I have breastfed him until now. It has just been a little snuggle-time for the two of us every evening, a lovely time shared together. I am pregnant again – yey! – and decided that, though he probably would like to continue, it was time to wean him so he would not feel like the new baby “stole” this from him. It took about 2 evenings, no big deal, and now he rarely asks. Ha, my little baby – a big boy!

22 months and still breastfeeding

Just passed 22 months breastfeeding. All good:) It’s a nice evening time for the two of us, snuggling up for a little “snack” before I pop him in his bed.

Yes, still breastfeeding

20 months of breastfeeding:) This morning he sneezed while eating, and munched into my boob, ouch! I’m lucky, though, as he has rarely bitten me.

Still breastfeeding...

after 16 months. Yey!
It might just be my imagination, but Kasper has not been sick very often despite recently having started preschool. Might be a coincidence, but I’m thinking it’s related to me still breastfeeding him.

Breastfeeding - 12 months!

K is 1 year and 2 days, and I am still breastfeeding him:) He gets a little in the morning, before his nap, and before bed time in the evening. I’m so glad I’ve been able to breasfeed him for so long!

Breastfeeding...yep yep!

Baby is 6 months now, and though he enjoys his solid foods (mashed vegetables, porridge, fruit) he is still a big fan of the boob. It’s our quiet time together, which we both enjoy. He recently got his two first teeth, though, and tends to bite me when he gets bored…

Breastfeed my son...

Baby K is 4 days old now, and we’re really getting into breastfeeding today. I aim to breastfeed him for as long as possible, that is – as long as he wants to. We will be introducing solid foods when he’s ready, but also maintain breastfeeding. Wow, what an adventure!!
