Dude, I wore a skirt this Saturday just because I felt like it. Crazy.

I wore my beige corduroy skirt last Tuesday to Vinnie’s. It was cute, it kept me cool, and I even discovered that it looks great with my little turtle belt. So yay.
I also decided to change this goal to the more vague “more often” because it really is weather-dependent, and I should wear skirts more than once/month in the summer, and less in the winter.
I had an emergency shopping trip yesterday. I needed non-jeans to wear to an afternoon party, and I couldn’t bear a 45 minute trip (each way, in my non-AC car) home to get suitable clothing. So in a flash, I found the nearest mall and got a new outfit: an adorable white skirt and a yellow polo shirt, which I wore with white sneakers and folded down socks.
I should really start taking pictures, because I looked darn cute.
It’s now warm enough that I don’t even need stockings! I wore my little back party skirt with the crinolin lining to the first Friday dance. I was adorable. And it swished everytime I swiveled.
Sorry, it’s not going to happen this month. It’s just too frickin’ cold. But the tea party is in March, so I should be able to get my March skirt in there, no problem.
My little off-white corduroy number for the CSDS dance. I forgot to take any pictures until I got home, and it turned out kinda dark, but there you are.
Just for the record, I wore a skirt on Wednesday, too. I went to the rehab center where C works and we danced for the old people, who would have been upset were I wearing jeans and a T-shirt. So I wore this long flowy wrap skirt I got as a hand-me-down, but as I’d never worn it before, I didn’t know how much it would billow up when I turned, so for some of the spins I had to keep my hand near my legs to keep the skirt from flying up altogether. Well, I think the old people couldn’t see very well anyway.
Nope, no pictures yet.
Tonight was skirt night for December. I wore the black sparkly dress I got for Screw Your Roommate ‘01. I accompanied the dress with my don’t f with me black boots, but quickly changed those for my classic black heels and then for my new Aris Allens which don’t match at all but are sweet to dance in. I didn’t get any pictures, but I’m sure someone else did. I did get several comments. The most memorable was, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you look as glamorous as you do tonight.”
