take my son to the dentist

My son’s first visit to the dentist was successful. Prior to his check-up, we borrowed some books from the library about going to the dentist. He really liked the one titled “Vera Goes To The Dentist”.
I was able to go with him to the exam room, and I had to hold him still in my lap. The dentist took a good look inside his mouth and said he didn’t see any cavities. Hooray!

Routine dental visits are challenging for a special needs child. There is a desensitization process one must go through. If successful, we will finally be able to have my son’s teeth examined.
