I’ve started writing my dreams down when I wake up, something I should’ve started doing consistently a long time ago.
The dream I had last night was intriguing in that it contained clear references to the ‘real world’. For example, in the dream I was trying to go to a tourist attraction which I missed out on when I visited another city last week. Also, the time my train home was due was the exact same time the train left for real. This connection between the conscious and the unconscious is interesting.
However I think my main problem is not realising that things such as flying aren’t actually feasible in real life. :D

I think I was close to having a lucid dream last night. The location is a bit fuzzy but some people from my old school were there and started talking to me. I knew something wasn’t quite right though and I remember asking one of my teachers why she was there, seeing as how I left school six months ago. I kept asking her questions and I remember saying “No, I know what it is, you’re a figment of my imagination. This is a dream, you’re not real.” She sort of fobbed me off and continued talking about whatever she was talking about.
This has happened a couple of times. I think the problem is that although I know on some level that it’s a dream, I don’t properly realise it on the level needed for lucidity.
