So forsaking the traditional ways of learning a language I picked up a book that has french, german, and english translations. It’s fun, twisting my tongue around the pronunciation but I’m also realizing that language is not one of my natural gifts. I’ve just got to stick with it.

I love those languages and can decipher some spanish and french and much less german. I’ve just never invested any time in it. The world traveller I want to be needs to know how to communicate so I better get started.
