Improve my Chinese

I’ve tried a million different ways to improve my Chinese, including moving to Taipei… at the moment I’ve started learning Chinese song lyrics… it’s been helpful since the sentence structures are usually simple but the use of language is very expressive… of course, like poetry, it’s not very accurate grammatically but it’s definately more interesting than memorizing characters.

I don’t expect miracles but I figure I’ve come this far… I need to keep trying. I’ve been speaking Chinese since I can remember but I can’t read or write a word… well that’s all gonna change! I’ve been writing little things in Chinese once a week and I’m trying to read small things like song lyrics and my friends postings. It’s not easy but I figure the more I practice the better I’ll get…
