ride in a hot air balloon

There’s a place down the road from my house that offers hot air balloon rides. I’m going to put it on my “to do” list to contact them and find out about prices, schedule, etc. I’d really like to float up above the earth and see my surroundings from a totally different perspective. Not only will it be an amazing experience, but there’s something symbolic about it.

I want to do this by this time next year (preferably sooner, of course). My personal deadline will be May 5, 2009. This is an experience I’d love to have!

Of course, the $ factor always weighs in. We’ll see what can be done about that. Maybe I can get a part-time job with a hot air balloon company?! Why not? Stranger things have happened!

Hot air balloons float above my house several mornings a week. It’s so cool. For the longest time, I couldn’t figure out what the sound was when I would let my dog out, then I realized they were adjusting the air!

The fact that there are places right down the street where the balloons lift off from makes me want to do it all the more. Now I just have to pick a day, put aside the money and go! Up, up and AWAY… It will be so beautiful.
