of an alligator in the Everglades, and I was “snapping away” with my camera. The thing could have knocked me over with his tail, done an “about face” and swallowed me whole. Fortunately, that didn’t happen. Yes, I’m afraid I was once a stupid college kid on spring break. Still, it was an experience I will always remember.
