I am on God knows for how long vacation, so I decided to get serious about it. I still consider myself a rookie until I can make a small conversation in Tagalog. I have found a great Tagalog teacher on Skype. He’s a Philippino working in Qatar. He wants to learn Arabic! So we’re teaching each other cool!! And as he put it, “it’s a win-win situation” ;)

I’m becoming an expert!! People think I might marry a Philippino,, whatever!! =D
I am able now to say long sentences and somewhat understand the content of 50% of the conversations =p
I hope to speak it fluently one day! Bless me =)
Well, when would I mark this as a done task? How would I judge if I have learned Tagalo or not? :D Anyways, the nurses are telling me all the time that I know A LOT of Tagalo. They are even telling about me that I “know everything”!! Well, good :p even though I can say like only 3 or 4 sentences.. Good :D hehe…
And very enjoyable. I learned quite a lot, I’m using the words whenever I can so that I wouldn’t forget them easily. Next Saturday I’ll be going to a new ward, the nurses there don’t know me so we’ll see how they’ll react to my “terms”!
I’m having fun learning the language from the fellow Philippino nurses in the wards, they are amazed that us the interns who just started less than two months ago know already some Tagalo “terms”!! One asked me if I have a Philippino maid at home that taught me the terms, I told her no :D lol .. I’m learning as I’m working! It’s fun!
