stop skipping class

Ugh. I skipped my tutorial today because I was late and I hate walking into class late and so I skipped it. Fuck. It’s okay. It’s not like there was homework to hand in, only homework to get back and I know I did not do well on that homework. Anyway, the answer key has been posted to that one. Grrr. On top of not skipping, I should try not to be late!!!

When did I become such a skipper????!?

I went to all my classes today. Good for me. I also caught up a bit with the readings for semantics, although, the lecture nearly killed me today. So boring, yet so confusing. I feel I will have to self-teach for most of the course. Ah well.

Tomorrow…
I have one tutorial and one lecture. Must go to the tutorial since I missed it two weeks in a row. Should try to finish the book tonight! Otherwise, I sit there squeamish in case I feel the pressure to “participate” – hate that! As for the lecture, it’s three damn hours long! Have not read the book! Most behind on readings for this class. Will consider rolling a spliff to smoke to enhance the learning experience. LOL. It’s not a bad idea for this class (19th century American Lit).

Monday (yesterday) – had one tutorial. I went. Check.

Tuesday (today) – had two lectures. I went to both. Check.

Wednesday (tomorrow) – two lectures and a tutorial. Will go to all.

Damn… now I can’t wait for reading week because I have to catch up majorly on readings. At least, I am trying no to be absent. Doing fine so far… baby steps.

Yesterday, I skipped all my linguistics classes. This is bad. I have to figure out the homework on my own now! Furthermore, this means that I missed a quiz; however, only the best 8 out of 10 count. It is not the end of the world. Today, I skipped my tutorial for an English class. I skipped it last week also. They take attendance.

To make this goal more tangible:

I will not skip class anymore until the end of the year. I have skipped enough for this term already and it’s just still beginning. So, that’s that. No more skipping- go to class!

At least, I went to my evening class today despite the fact that earlier, I had made up my mind to skip it. I skipped it last week also. Good that I went. Hurray for this tiny victory over my bad habit.
