My late father was an EXCELLENT speaker; impromtu and off the cuff as a raconteur. What I learned from him (indirectly)... don’t be afraid to follow your digressions; let them lead you back to the point, they have a reason for popping up.
Also, if life amuses you, put that amusement into your talk: what you find, or moving, what you are passionate about.
As the Gita says, “to unite the heart with God and then to act…”
In India, all classical dance and music performances begin with an offering… in my heart I always begin with an offering inside, before hand, when I might feel fluttery… then I just channel my father, and let ‘er rip!
