So Monday we signed a lease for May 1, on a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment. Lots of light, hardwood falls, and four closets (2 walk-ins), and we get a 2-car garage included in the rent. I’m so excited now, even though I am going to be living in Fargo, which isn’t nearly as cosmopolitan as my beloved Twin Cities. It’s only for 2 years and it will be somewhat of adventure being in a new city.

We’ve been looking at houses now. We still have plans to look at apartments next weekend, but we found some really cute houses for sale in North Fargo. I found one with hardwood floors and a clawfoot tub-that’s pretty much all that’s required to keep me happy.
We’ve decided to move in May instead of June. My semester ends the first week and I can’t wait to get out there.
A year ago I had no interest in even driving through Fargo, and now I can’t pack fast enough…it’s amazing how things change.
My boyfriend and I started looking at apartments-rent is so much cheaper in Fargo! We looked at some pretty nice lofts online, but we won’t get to tour anything until February. The plan is to move in June, if we can find a place by then. It’s hard cause we don’t live together now and I think we’re looking for different things, although, we both want huge closets. He already lives there, so I’m sort of depending on him to decide which neighborhoods are better. I’ve been e-mailing property managers for more info on rent and amenities and the like.
I’ve already been making a list of the things I’ll be taking and lists of things we’ll need for the new place. It’s seems a bit too soon to be doing this, but the next 6 months are going to fly and I know I’ll be scrambling to get all this done later.
