Looks like the only way. My debt is almost twice my yearly salary. It’s not fair to make myself and my ex-boyfriend, with whom I ran all this up, toil for years to pay this off. The sum just gets bigger and bigger, and all our efforts have only made us unhappy with comparatively little to show for it.

Moved $6k of debt from a 30%+ APR card to a card with a 0% APR promotion for balance transfers, lasting until Jan. 2009. This should save us a lot of money in interest and allow us to pay our balance off faster.
