I like how Google often changes the logo on their website to promote a particular event. This one is the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street.

I came across Igor Iwanowicz on stumbleupon and thought his photography was just amazing. I’ve put a few together here of his ‘dancing mantids’. Here’s the link for more amazing photos!

Zdzisław Beksiński was a renowned Polish painter, photographer, and sculptor who is best known as a fantasy artist. Beksiński executed his paintings and drawings either in what he called a ‘Baroque’ or a ‘Gothic’ manner. The first style is dominated by representation, with the best-known examples coming from his ‘fantastic realism’ period when he painted disturbing images of a surrealistic, post-apocalyptic environment. The second style is more abstract, being dominated by form, and is typified by Beksiński’s later paintings. Beksiński was murdered in 2005.
Oh my God, this guy is amazing. I want to be able to draw as good as him…
I couldn’t decide on a favourite image to put here so I took a screen capture of his website. Check it out.
A friend told me about this artist when she met him through the freecycle website. His work is so amazing. (Well, I’ve only seen these two) Apparently he just lives down the road from me. I would love to just rock up to his place and ask him for some advice on painting!

I came across this person’s profile by accident online and really like what he has done. He’s a graphic designer / illustrator. Exactly what I want to be! Maybe one day!

I wish I had thought of this first! :-P
I would love to go to one of his exhibitions…
Pixar Animation Studios are a company that thousands of creative people around the world would die to work for, me included! I went to see their 20 years of animation exhibit at the National Museum of Scotland, in Edinburgh over the weekend and I was both overwhelmed and inspired by what I saw. Although I would never in a million years get offered a job at Pixar, the exhibit certainly did get my creative juices flowing! I especially liked the storyboards they had on display. It gave me an idea for a painting (or series of paintings) using narrative as the theme.
