When I was a teenager, I used to write all the time. It was my biggest hobby. I used to have penpals all over te world, sending each other wonderful words and presents and getting to know different people and cultures.
Right now, older and wiser, I do miss this! I used to get home and each day there would be at least one letter in my mailbox, decorated with pictures and other things, just for me! I miss ‘feeling international’ and I also miss writing down my deepest thoughts…
I’ve lost contact with nearly all of them… people get older and have other things to do…
My dreams have gotten more realistic, or maybe more achievable since I’m able to realise more of them myself. Now, in this moment of time, I would love to travel more and get to know people and keep in touch… Or find some (a few) true penpals you can visit and learn from…
I honestly don’t know where to start… to find people with the same interests. But I can start with my friend Pauline who lives in Sweden and haven’t talked to in a while… she lives together with her boyfriend and just had a baby. I guess that would be a startingpoint, to build up that relationship again.
