Well, I’m back… but what the hell’s with all the 2-year-olds and trolls? Is there a better site? ‘Cause seriously, I’m a little creeped out here.

Hey, everyone, how long has it been now? =) How’s it going? I may or may not post an introduction for those of you who don’t know me later, but for now I’m tired so I’ll just say hi.
With the sudden influx of n00bs for no discernible reason, let’s lay down some ground rules, eh?
1.) Caps Lock==Bad for Fenris’s soul. Don’t use it ALL THE FSCKING TIME, ‘kay?
2.) Ketrino, Dawg, and I are the only ones on this site who speak basic English. At least, that’s the way it appears from the quality of the posts on here. If you’re going to be asking for help, we need to be able to understand you. If you don’t speak English, fucking LEARN. If you do, fucking LEARN TO SPELL. If you’re too stupid to spell properly, fucking LEARN TO USE A FUCKING SPELLCHECKER.
3.) Get peoples’ names right, gods damn it. Seriously, what in all hells is “KITRNO?!” I know it’s supposed to be “Ketrino,” but HONESTLY, go back to rule #2.
4.) Don’t be an asshole to the people who are trying to help you out.
5.) While you’re on this site, I AM YOUR FSCKING GOD. I’ll add to the random rule sheet-that I’m technically not authorized to post-upon request.
Damn, man, it’s been awhile. How’ve you been, aside from the disconcerting metaphysical experiences. =)
Well, my religion/philosophy (as well as several others I’m aware of, plus common sense) says nothing’s determined by birth except genetics, and since there’s no “werewolf gene,” that would mean that it’s possible to not be born a werewolf and still be one. Assuming my philosophy/common sense is correct, that is. XD Adn as I said before, while Hollywood popularized that myth, it was a legend long before movies ever existed. And legends (pardon my cliche) usually have some basis in fact.
Also, how does being bitten by a werewolf making one a werewolf make any less sense than having a specific age to start having mental/phantom shifts for a therian? That just doesn’t happen in genetics or any other scientific phenomenon that I’m aware of.
When did we decide it was impossible for people to become a werewolf by being bitten by one? I mean, I can’t see how it’d be scientifically logical, but as none of us can physically transform and we don’t know any werewolves who can (or if we do, they haven’t tried it for whatever reasons), I’d say that we haven’t totally ruled out the possibility.
Okay, summing it up. Balance of mind, body, and soul==good. Anything helping to attain balance==good. Astral plane and reincarnation==roughly what happens when we die. Martial arts==fun AND good. Magic and the like is awesome. More accepting than just about any other religion/philosophy you’ll ever find (though I’m not trying to convert you, mind). Can be applied to whatever other religion you want it to be. That about brief enough for you? XD
If you worship YHWH (and you said you did, unless I misinterpreted somewhere) you’re definitely Abrahamic. That’s not to say that you’re automatically a fundie, though. XD I doubt it’s possible to pick out ALL of the undesirable qualities of religion and create one that’s totally right for everyone, but I effectively did the same as you and found a philosophy (I don’t think I can really define it as a religion as of yet) that’s right for me.
If you’re really all THAT interested, I don’t mind going into it a bit. Let’s see, the core belief is in the strength and balance of the Three Aspects of the Spirit: Body, Mind, and Soul. Body being not necessarily the physical body, but that IS the main point of it. Strength, speed, physical fitness, etc. are central to this Aspect. Mind refers to intelligence, knowledge, and wisdom-any type of knowledge, not just book-learning. One with a strong mind should be as well-rounded as possible, or a near-expert in one or more fields. Last is Soul: one’s moral standards and spirituality. Religion plays a major part in this Aspect. Basically, if I were to define myself by these Aspects: Mind first, Body second, Soul last. I’d like to have them balanced (considering that this is the entire point of the philosophy… XD), but I’m having a great deal of trouble developing my Soul aspect, largely because I currently worship no God and follow no organized religion. I’ll eventually find one that appeals to me, though, so no worries. =)
Things that nourish one or more Aspects are considered “sacred,” things that nourish all three even more so. Martial arts and fighting, for example, trains the body and the mind. Therefore, fighting==good. XD The occult sharpens the mind and (if used with “good” intentions) polishes the soul. It also increases one’s power, therefore technically adding to Body as well. Tea and incense (especially sage) are also excellent, as they relax the body, quicken reaction time, make the mind more alert, and can be used in religious rituals. Yay.
It accepts all gods and all religions, but not all gods and religions may be accepting of it. The philosophy can effectively be applied to any religion-and almost has to be, considering that it has no spiritual and very few ethical tenets of its own, so long as they do not specifically prohibit fighting or occult activities (or some other things that some mainstream religions do not endorse). So you might have a tough time applying it to Christianity. XD
There is a code of honor you’re expected to follow, but it’s really not all that bad in terms of restrictions (nothing like Leviticus, for example 8B). If it ever became an organized religion, there’d probably be a few additions to the code of honor, such as freely sharing knowledge and information with other “members” who ask.
Well, that pretty much covers all of the major points. Fell free to contact me if you want to know anything else. Note that I’m NOT trying to convert you or anything-that’s one of the first parts of the code of honor I mentioned earlier. :] If it sounds like it was worded that way, sorry.
Abrahamic==anyone who is Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Baha’i, or a member of any other faith that worships YHWH. Fundamentalist (in the context of religion)==one who is too blind to see beyond the letter of his/her holy book. Basically, one who is unable to accept change or any deviation from their religious beliefs. This technically applies to the majority of Christianity-and most of those who are not fundamentalists simply pick and choose whatever parts of the Bible they like-but there are SOME good ones. Not enough to make me consider calling myself a Christian even if I did return to worshipping YHWH, but some.
