If only the people who wanted to work with me right now were the ones who could pay me! I’ve been asked to commit to the next 3 weekends, but I don’t have a “real job” yet. I mean it’s flattering, but … y’know … money.

This is starting to happen. Someone I did student films with didn’t realize she was going to need a 2nd AD for the music video she was producing, and she tried to reach me. I had another (much more boring) gig, so I couldn’t make it. Still, it’s great to be the first – maybe only – person she thought of.

They had a bunch of extras and nobody to herd them. Another crew member even asked where I was, as though I were the obvious choice. I’m likely to get some future work out of that, if I’m still in town. Very pleased about this.
