Back in the saddle... so to speak 2 years ago

And am being more ambitious this time by running further away from my house when I start out because I then Must Run Back. It’s a cunning way of, well, something. I’m not sure what.

Anyway I’m feeling encouraged that although am currently crap I’m not as crap as I thought I would be.

The endless rehearsing of late has taken its toll on this goal and the eating-properly-type one as well.

However things ease up with choir stuff next week, so hopefully I’ll be able to crack on again properly from Tuesday. Am deciding to be kind to myself buy Not Beating Myself Up about it.

Managed to go last night (yay!) and really feel like I was improving.

It’s such a shame to have gone back to being rubbish after last year’s achievements but if I can keep getting better this quickly then the whole thing is definitely within my reach.

Way to get ambitious all of a sudden!

It actually was probably not 100% wise to have gone in the first place bearing in mind the fact that I went after spending a couple of hours in the pub. Makes me wonder though whether a couple of shots of Southern Comfort before a run could actually be a good idea!!!! hehe

Our company appears to be thinking about signing up to the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay.

They appear to also be on the point of trying to talk me into running.

So now I have to learn to go fast.

Beginnings 2 years ago

Okay, so, I’ve joing up to this 43Things whatsit in the hope that it will help me both discover goals and stick to making them happen.

I’m not bad at beginnings but have a tendency to get distracted fairly easily and once I lose track I find it very difficult to begin again. Last year I did a 10km run for charity after doing not-very-much training. I’ve signed up for the same run again this year which I want to complete in under an hour… which is a goal. Obviously in order to do this I will need to do far more training than the not-very-much I did last year.

I haven’t run yet today but I think I will attempt to go this evening.
