I’m off to the 20/20 cricket at Lords on 3rd July.
And am going walking in the Yorkshire Dales at some point this summer (hopefully next month).

I used to think that I was good at being spontaneous and doing interesting things etc etc but time and circumstances have taken their toll and all of a sudden I find myself being the sensible (boring) one who is always thinking of the reasons why not to do stuff.
So I’ve decided to try and stop this and to become more open to doing new stuff, more open to finding ways to do said New Things and hopefully enjoy life more as a result.
I did well over dinner the other day as I appear to have agreed to potentially go dry-slope skiing and attempt indoor ice-climbing at Xscape. Eeep!!! Scary but good. I felt myself start to say “but…” when both suggestions were made and I could hear a little voice saying “you said you’d ‘say yes more’ and this is the perfect opportunity”
So I said, “yes, alright then, let’s do that”. It hasn’t happened yet, but I’ve not set any barriers up either.
