...there is a sort-of list in my journal of all of those occasions where I have made decisions (big and small) that haven’t had negative repercussions. The idea being that, if I can prove to myself that I have made (and can make) decisions that don’t have negative consequences, it will be easier to make decisions in the future. I’ve kept space so that I can add to it at a later date in the hope that I continue to consciously decide.
The next bit is actually thinking about it all logically, which I think is much more of a work-in-progress. I know on some levels that decision-making is necessary and that there aren’t always negative consequences to decisions, neither is it imposing my will on someone if I dare to express a preference for one thing over another. But there’s a difference between knowing such things and being able to put said knowledge to work in my everyday life.
