Breast cancer has never been a real concern for me. I have high blood pressure & a family history of heart disease, no breast cancer. Mt breast exams have been sporadic because of my lack of concern. My yearly mammogram, often every other cause I was, “too busy.” Then In February my mammogram showed that my left breast showed signs of probable benign cancer. Ooops!
I am now trying to be a LOT more aware of breast cancer & do a monthly self exam. I think that this group is a great way of reinforcing. I will also be reminding my best friend monthly, as she also had a suspicious mammogram. In fact, it was her bugging me that made me go get my mammogram. Months slip away fast for me, a set time will be good!
