Apparently, the Park Service isn’t allowed to say, for fear of offending Christian fundamentalists.

This makes me want to throw up.

Should churches be prohibited from saying things that atheists find troubling or offensive? (Well, no, of course they shouldn’t be.)

What could be more American? 4 years ago

For me, this is a bedrock principle, something we can’t continue to be American without. Any country can have a pack of thugs running things, telling you they know what’s best. America is meant to be something more than that. Why would we want our own version of the Taliban here? There are people who truly want to see a theocracy rise up in the USA. Don’t they know that theocracies ALWAYS lead to very bad things? (Yep, always.)
