I would sure hate for someone I love to die right in front of me, when there are programs offering this type of training available at all times of the year.
Living in Southern California under the looming threat of “the Big One” makes this goal seem particularly relevant. If find myself in a situation where I am so close to danger but fortunate enough to avoid injury and remain capable of helping someone, I would be terribly ashamed if the only thing that stopped me was my own ignorance.
You never know!
