Still can’t do this….unless I lift my foot up to reach my hand. LOL.

This sounds so easy to do – every kid can do it, right?
Not me. I’ve never been able to. It’s probably the same reason I’ve never been able to do sit-ups. I bend and all of me collapses like a folding chair.
This week, I tried a new exercise class called “The Bar Method”. It’s all about stretching and core strength. I held my own (or so the instructor said) but my inability to straighten my legs was definitely a hinderance. And a painful one.
After class, the instructor gave me a few stretches to do at home and reminded me that it takes time.
Part of me wants to forget about it. I woke up so sore yesterday (and today), I’m thinking “Hey, so what if I can’t touch my toes?” But another part of me, the part that wants to change, said “No pain, no gain – let’s do it again!” Challenging myself, especially physically, is becoming a habit, a good one.
I have a 2nd class to schedule. If I can get thru that one, without OD’ing on Aleve afterward, I’ll make a decision about continuing.
I wonder which part of me will win?
