Become a flight nurse

So I’ve been a RN for 13 years, currently a travel RN since 2008. I have such a broad range of experience: ER, ICU, Burn Unit, Telemetry, some Hospice, Psychiatric, and Med-Surg. I’ve cared for people of all ages from infants to geriatrics. I’ve worked in hospitals across the country including large trauma centers as well as stand alone little hospitals in the middle of no-where. I have nursing licenses in 7 different states. But the one thing I haven’t done is become a Flight Nurse….which is something I wanted to do since I was in nursing school. The problem is I never put any effort into TRYING to become one, haven’t sent out my resume, just haven’t gotten serious about it YET. Guess once I complete some of my RN traveling (I have a list of cities I want to work and live in…sort of my bucket work list)then and maybe finally then I will take this goal seriously. I just don’t want it to never happen…that would suck;-)
