I made a scarf for my sister, now I’m working on a blanket for myself (seems selfish, but to give away a semi-decent crocheted blanket is just unkind).

at my granny squares. It feels like only a million to go until my blanket is done…..lol….
I finished my three classes. I don’t know how good I am at this. I’m much better at Granny Squares then crocheting in a straight line.
I’m taking my squares (all 4 of them sigh) for my mom to inspect this weekend.
I will have to post a pic of the scarf that I made. The first once was gross, but I made my sister one, and it turned out really well.
I had my 1st class, there are only 2 of us in it, so that’s v. helpful! I’m making a “squiggle scarf” which doesn’t really matter about tension or straightness, good thing!!
Hopefully it’ll get better with practice.
I just signed up for a 3 week class to learn to crochet. So it starts next Saturday, I’m very excited!
so my mom gets too frustrated trying to teach me, oh I wish I had learned this while my grandma (a fellow left-hander) was still alive. Of course then, I thought that this was too much of a “girly” thing to do.
I will investigate classes in my city, maybe they will have the patience to teach a left-handed, non-crafty girl how to crochet!
