Well, all my photos were hung in the exhibition, it was wonderful to see them hanging there amongst other work. I didn’t sell any, but the fact I saw something through from start to finish and was able to share my photos with others is fantastic!
Now a cafe has agreed for me to hang them there and hopefully sell one or two…...

Finally, with the help of a friend, I have 4 photos, mounted, framed and ready to take to an art exhibition tomorrow. They are for sale too…it’s a small step, but how wonderful to be able to share some of my photographs and possibly sell one or two!

When I see someone taking photos,I take every opportunity to talk with them about their camera, their photos, ideas, etc. It inspires me so much.
Although my dearly beloved compact digital is great, it really does limit me on what I can and can’t take photos of well.
So, I’m seriously considering buying an SLR camera…my decluttering goal may be able to help with this to raise some funds.

Hmmm, become a photographer, how do you know when you are one?!
I have already been taking pictures and set up a Flickr account. A few people have encouraged me to take my photography further. I didn’t feel good enough, but only my thoughts, not other peoples. Then another friend suggested I entered some of my photographs into an art exhibition she’s helping with. Another friend gave me 4 wonderful frames…so, what have I got to lose?
I bought an external hard drive for my laptop, moved all of my photos onto it, created clear and simple file names, deleted and sorted.
I have been letting the idea of the exhibition float around in my mind, I’d really like to do it well. Do I choose a theme or select 4 photos of completely different topics?
I’m going to get 2 photos printed up and see how they look in the frames. Who knows what this may lead to?!
I just love being able to capture different moments, moods, colours and share them with others.
