I need a new best friend 2 years ago

I need a new best friend.

Actually, I don’t think I’ve had a real “best friend.” Is it fair to qualify a best friend as someone who would help you out if you were in a bind? I don’t think I’ve ever had a friend who gave a damn about anyone but themselves.

I’ve gone out on a limb on more than one occasion for friends. Picking them up from work when their car dies, helping them work on their car, listening to their problems – the list goes on.

When I have a problems, it’s all “Oh, I can’t I have to do X, Y and Z!” or just feign listening and go “Uh huh, uh huh – yea that sucks.” offering no real advice.

I’d like to just find one person, other than my girlfriend, who is willing to give AND take.
