8 days and counting, until race day! My training is going really well. My last swim day felt great and yesterdat was a brick day and it went good as well. I’m feeling fast, stronger, and more prepared for my 1st triathlon everyday. Starting today, my training is easing up a little bit to help my body recover and get ready for the upcomming trial. It is so close now, I’m super excited!

I’ve been keeping up with my training and everything’s going well. I’m really excited about 9-12, this is going to be a great race!
I’m registered for the triathlon on Sept. 12, the hotel for the night before, and my wife and I are both off work! All I’ve got now is time, and I’ll need that to train. Yesterday, I refurbished my bike (it had fallen into some disrepair), and did my first Brick workout, where I biked for 30 minutes and then ran for 10 minutes. My legs were killing me, but when it was all done I felt great. The day before that I swam for 400 yards; today I’m running for 30 minutes, and tomorrow will be another Brick workout. It is really going to happen and I’m super excited.
I’ve just joined USA Triathlon, and plan to do my first Triathlon on Sept. 12. I’ve already started training and it feels great! I’m super excited.
This is something of a distant goal, but a goal non the less. We have a local Sprint Triathlon that is supposed to be one of the toughest sprints in the state and I’d like to compete in it within the next couple of years.
